James Bond 007: Blood Stone Announced

Creating a little buzz this afternoon, Activision and Bizarre Creations have officially announced the development of James Bond 007: Blood Stone, a 3rd person Action-Adventure title based on the popular film series. Due out this Holiday season, Blood Stone will feature an all-new singleplayer campaign with cover-based shooting, hand-to-hand combat and a compelling storyline packed with exotic locals and international conspiracy. We can also expect an array of multiplayer modes, including a new objective-based mode that pits spies vs mercenaries. Here's a nugget from the press release:

"James Bond 007: Blood Stone captures the cinematic intensity of a Bond film by immersing players in an intriguing conspiracy that will require them to think and act like James Bond," said David Pokress, Head of Marketing for Licensed Properties, Activision Publishing. "In addition, the game will feature a diverse array of multi-player modes and debut strategic objective-based gameplay that will allow Xbox 360, PS3(T21c2M) and PC players to battle as teams of spies and mercenaries through authentic Bond locales."

To help whet our appetite, the developers have released a short teaser trailer. Check it out:
