While most companies delay big releases, Eidos is pushing Kane & Lynch 2 for an early release. How early? A week early from the original date.
The final date is now August 17 for North America, then August 20 for Europe and PAL territories. We think that maybe the developers are going insane right now with the new deadline, but hey, maybe Eidos provides an infinite supply of Red Bull.
“The team has worked hard to deliver a game that’s different from the current trend of third-person shooters and we’re so pleased to be able to share it with the world ahead of schedule.
“With development now complete, why keep people waiting any longer? We want to let gamers experience the game we’ve created and get them online betraying their friends in Fragile Alliance, so we have decided to bring the release date forward by one week.
In the latest installment, Kane and Lynch wind up stuck in Shanghai, and players follow their exploits for the 48 hours they spend there. Obviously, being who they are, the two men get sucked up into some sketchy business. Oh, and there's a new trailer "Fragile Alliance" trailer. No gameplay, just amusement.
