Everyone has an unhealthy obsession, and for some of us, it's art books. Sweet, delicious art books with hard covers and crisp pages. They even smell good.
As far as hobbies go, collecting artbooks is relatively cheap, but Rockstar Games is really pushing the price limit. To celebrate their upcoming tenth anniversary, the developer will be releasing a three-book set next month. Each book's colorful candy shell is packed with content, showcasing original concept artwork, models, wireframes, production stills, box art, and game advertisements. Top that off with an exclusive CD/DVD that goes behind-the-scenes like a Rockstar documentary.
No skimping here, but the asking price is pretty damn steep. For all the above mentioned loot, you'll need to fork over a whopping $450. Split that in three and each book is still $150.
At least the slipcase looks nice.
