Multiple 'Oddworld' games in the works

Multiple Oddworld games in the works

Oddworld Inhabitants has secured a collaborative deal with Gravity Crash developer Just Add Water (JAW) to deliver multiple projects in the beloved Oddworld universe. Not much can be said about the games themselves at this stage; we'll see more in the coming weeks and months.

JAW boss Stewart Gilray was vague on whether or not the titles would be remakes or updates of old titles or altogether new titles, also saying the "big stuff" wouldn't be announced for awhile. We'd guess they're in on the Oddbox that's been MIA for awhile now, and on a new title or two as well.

Fans worried about their sacred cow can probably rest easy: JAW titled their press release "JAW & Oddworld -- K.I.S.S.I.N.G." and have been saying in interviews the first two Oddworld titles are the best in all of gaming. That and they describe the relationship as entirely communal -- anything they do has to get the approval of the series creators.

Platforms are of course not yet announced either. We'll keep you posted.
