Fable III E3 trailer is almost too intense

Fable III E3 trailer is almost too intense

High hopes rest on Fable III, as they did on FableI and II. As October 26 drawing nearer by the day, Lionhead Studios is hard at work living up to Peter Molyneux's dreams and our expectations.

E3 trailers are practically obligated to reach a certain "epicness" threshold. Not surprisingly, the Fable III E3 2010 trailer exceeds expectations with massive levels of win, almost more than you'd expect from Fable, what with the lack of funnies. It's also a nice summary video, if you haven't been keeping up with Fable news up until now.

Fable III takes place 50 years following the events of Fable II, and in that time, the Hero of Albion gave birth to/fathered two children. The elder, Logan, becomes a tyrannical king, and the younger grows up to be an adventurer. After some atrocious "injustice" happens to their mother/father, the new Hero -- that's you -- must rise up against Logan.

The third game also boasts a huge variety of environments, from your run-of-the-mill Fable village to sandy wastelands dotted with ruins. In combat, expect familiar weapons and new fusion spells, perfect for decimating enemy swarms. Hell, invite a friend for double the fun.

Enjoy the trailer (in HD). It's also completely Molyneux-free, for you haters out there.

One somewhat creepy revelation has come to light. If you can now romance other Heroes in co-op, doesn't that mean you're basically doing the horizontal polka with your sibling/-self from a parallel universe? Ew.
