Vindictus screenshots reveal spider boss, non-skanky female warrior

Vindictus screenshots reveal spider boss, non-skanky female warrior

If you're still associating Nexon with purely kiddy games, then take a look at Vindictus. Set for North American release in the fall, the action-RPG is built off Valve's Source engine and promises a more mature experience.

The gritty combat and escalated violence supplement the overarcing story of impending evil. The grotesque Fomors terrorize the land, so you'll be killing lots of those in Vindictus. Latest screenshots reveal the obligatory spider boss, and it's reallly hairy. You'll encounter it in the game's Prologue, which explains how your hero gets his/her start in the world.

As the story goes, a young lady named Tieve from the town of Colhen has always protected her home with her unique powers. As the town's oracle, Tieve has the ability to communicate with animals, and her familiar, a massive white tarantula, protects the happy li'l community. Then the thing goes absolutely nuts and starts killing everyone.

The hero shown in these screenshots should be a chick, given those pretty eyes and slender legs. You know what that means? Ladies have non-revealing alternatives, and I won't have to play a skank warrior.
