Mass Effect 2 withdrawal, anyone? Rest assured that by this time next week, you'll be up to your eyeballs in fresh Geth.
Come Tuesday, June 15, the "Overlord" DLC will be released to Xbox LIVE and making gamers all around the world totally happy. Like Kasumi's "Stolen Memory" DLC, it's priced at 560 Microsoft Points, the exact equivalent of $7.00 in American moolah. We can assume Overlord will be roughly the same length, at the very least, but it certainly sounds way more epic.
"Technology hates us" has been a running theme in many Mass Effect quests, and the Overlord add-on reinforces the dangers of AI. Although AI were outlawed because of the Geth, VI remain in use. Great idea, until Cerberus began a project joining a VI program with a human brain, resulting in the VI Overlord. Once more, Shepard's here to save the day!
Next week's Deal of the Week entries are pretty juicy too. Shadow Complex, Trials HD, and Marvel vs Capcom 2 are all 53 percent off, while Splosion Man and the classic TMNT Turtles in Time HD are both 50 percent off. I'd totally hit up MvC2 myself if the third game weren't already announced.
