Activision CEO Bobby Kotick is no stranger to making comments that would make any gamer's blood boil. In a recent interview with the prolific executive, he's said some things that just might leave gamers speechless.
When asked about something he could wish for to happen right now, Kotick cited theCall of Duty series, saying he'd like it to "be an online subscription service tomorrow." And he doesn't stop there either, piling it on with the hope that subscriptions are on the way and that the CoD audience is "clamoring" to pay up.
Source, please? There's never really been an instance where gamers want to go from free to paid for their favorite series unless there was a very good reason to do so. If you'd like to prove Mr. Kotick otherwise and keep Call of Duty free (and you probably do), just don't buy any games or DLC and spread the word to friends and cohorts. "Vote with your money," as some would say.
