Fallout Online website launches, beta entry begins [Update]

Interplay's "Project V13" has finally taken an official name: Fallout Online. The game has been in some stage of development or another for a few years now, though crippled by a lawsuit from recent rights owner Bethesda.

In any case, they've managed at last to get a website up with the official name and also offer a chance to get into the beta. We got a look at the site last evening which seemed to have minimal information and assets, though was well-done.

Unfortunately at the moment it appears to be more or less down, but you can keep checking back for a chance to get into the beta -- we'll update when it's running proper again. Update: seems to be in order, though it takes awhile to load.

All that's involved is signing up for the newsletter and selecting your favourite Fallout game (Fallout, Fallout 2, or Fallout: Tactics) -- we assume an indication of the directions they're considering.
