Civilization V able to import Civ IV maps

Civilization V able to import Civ IV maps

If you've got a favorite user-made campaign that you're wary of moving on from with Civilization V on the way, no need to fear. Civ V's world builder tool will be able to import Civilization IV's custom maps automatically.

Every aspect of the maps will carry over in the conversion process so you won't lose any cities, units, and other elements. It's a perfect way to boost all the user-made content out there for Civ V and not have newcomers miss out on older stuff they might miss.

However, mods are a different matter and won't be able to be converted. More than likely it's a case of Civ V not being able to recognize the extra content added so creators will have to go back and retool their work as a Civ V mod.
