Play with light, music and gravity in indie game Auditorium

Play with light, music and gravity in indie game Auditorium

I don't think there has ever been a game like Auditorium.

The premise behind this PC indie game by developer Cipher Prime is a bit hard to describe. Most generally speaking, it is a puzzle game. Beyond that, it is easier to play than to describe.

Basically sound in the game is represented by streams of light. When each new level starts, the streams of music flow down one side of your screen, like streams of water. The goal of the game is to use different modifier icons to deflect the streams of music, and try to get them into one particular "receptor box." When the sound streams are going in the right direction, they turn into music.

Did that make sense?

The demo has been available for months now, but after a long wait the full game was finally made available this week for $11.00, which is a pretty good asking price for such a unique gaming experience.  Auditorium was written using Flash, and you can try it out here.
