Empire: Total War demo hits Steam

Empire: Total War demo hits Steam

Creative Assembly's PC game Empire: Total War is almost ready. In anticipation of the game's March 3rd North American launch, a demo has been released for the game, onto Steam.

Empire: Total War is the latest chapter in the Total War series. This time, the historical focus is on the modern era period, spanning from the early 18th century to the early 19th century. A large portion of the available single-player campaigns are centered on America's War of Independence.

Naval combat is also going to be playing a larger role in this 5th game of the series, compared to earlier Total War games. Ship combat looks great; the details shown in the videos so far have been impressive with the rendering of cannon-fire, burning ships and slayed sailors.

The demo contains two missions: the Battle of Brandywine Creek, which was a decisive win for the British in 1777 and led to the occupation of Philadelphia, and the Battle of Lagosm where the British and French fought it out in a naval battle around Portugal.
