If you ever wished that someone would make a movie out of Half-Life 2, here's something fairly impressive. It's a short fan film "Escape from City 17". Made by David and Ian Purchase who make commercials for a living and produced "guerilla style with no money, no time, no crew and no script". The first two episodes were made on a budget of $500 - wit the first episode out now and the second episode nearing completion.

And yes, it's made with a blessing of Valve - in fact, this short film resulted in an invitation for filmmakers to visit the Valve offices in Seattle.
