F.E.A.R. 3 Announced

Creating a little buzz this afternoon, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Day 1 Studios have officially announced the development of F.E.A.R. 3, the next installment in their popular FPS-Horror series. Due out this Fall, the game will feature an all-new singleplayer campaign, along with a cooperative mode where you an a friend can team up with distinctly different abilities that "affect your own play as well as the experience of your co-op partner." Here's a little snippet from the press release:

“After working closely with Monolith, Day 1 is honoured to bring the next iteration of the F.E.A.R. franchise to gamers with key elements of the past games yet providing fresh combat and horror experiences in F.E.A.R. 3,” said Denny Thorley, Founder and President, Day 1 Studios. “Players can look forward to new features such as divergent co-op, an evolved cover system, and more scares in F.E.A.R. 3.”
