Dungeon Fighter Online now over 197M strong, launching in June

Dungeon Fighter Online went into closed beta last summer, and open beta began in September 2009. Now, months later, the game is finally ready to launch.

Nexon has announced that their 2D arcade-esque fighter will be released in June, but open beta will continue until then. When So far, DFO has accumulated over 197 million registered players worldwide since it launched in South Korea back in 2005. The North American beta has obviously bolstered that figure, and beta players have since farmed more than 1.6 billion monsters.

Since open beta began in 2009, Nexon has continuously updated with more content, adjusting the level curve, and fixed the usual bugs. More improvements should be implemented by June, and in traditional MMo fashion, existing players will get to keep everything, giving them a head start over the newbies.
