Kicking things off today, Atari and Eden Games have officially announced the development of Test Drive Unlimited 2, a sequel to their hit 2007 racing title. Due out this Fall, TD:U 2 will offer a persistent online experience where players can team up, compete against each other, and share their achievements and creations. We can also expect full vehicle damage, weather effects, day/night cycles, and a brand new island to explore. Here's a little snippet from the press release:

"The game fits squarely into our strategy of moving online and generating new revenue streams while maintaining our current retail business."
