The design of Dragon Age lends itself pretty well to the MMO universe, many would admit. Developer BioWare thinks so as well, and states we may see one yet, but they have "lots of stories" to tell first.
"Whether we want to or whether it's something that we would consider doing, time will tell," said franchise producer Francis Melo, further noting it's definitely a story-driven affair that works best as an RPG. "I think once we've established [the stories], then potentially we could look at other genres."
For single-player fans, this would be bad news as the studio would then be likely working on two MMOs (Dragon Age and Star Wars: The Old Republic), devoting considerably less time to solo titles. Nevertheless, it would be exciting to see something truly different in the arena going head-to-head with World of Warcraft.
