Portal receives extended ending

Portal receives extended ending

So this whole BBS business turned out to be an elaborate trigger to release a new update for Portal once enough users logged into the system. Valve really knows how to create hype and keep the momentum going because tonight's update reveals a significant plot point.

We won't be big ol' spoilsports here but you should know what to do: get back into the testing chambers and down that maniacal mechanical matriarch known as GLaDOS once more and witness the new ending. The moment Chell ends up in the outside world, her true fate is made clear. If you want better idea as to what is going on, just read the sole update note regarding the new development.

Once you've picked up your jaw from the floor, you'll want to check in once more with the ongoing Portal ARG using that first link above. New BBS streams and a renewed dig into the game's files have resulted in yet even more potential developments for Portal's sequel and Half-Life 2: Episode 3.
