Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier announced with trailer, beta details [Update]

Future Soldier announced with trailer, beta details [Update]

The next installment in the neverending Tom Clancy series has been announced, and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is its name.

Assumedly a third-person squad-based strat, this one comes to us from the team behind Advanced Warfighter and its sequel (both very well-received), and will feature high-tech weaponry in single and multiplayer modes.

Note the trailer below is rated Mature.

(Note the amusing 'US military does not promote or endorse this product' disclaimer.)

As you can see from the video, a multiplayer beta will be arriving this summer, exclusive to those who purchase Splinter Cell Conviction on Xbox 360 (clever, that). Update: a FAQ on the beta has been published here.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will launch this holiday season on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
