After a couple of delays, Sega has finally firmed up the release date for Obsidian espionage RPG Alpha Protocol: gamers can grab it May 28 in Europe, or June 1 in North America. The game has seen a bit of a troubled development cycle, so it's great to see a final date at last.
With the announcement comes new screenshots, a trailer, and -- awesomely enough -- new box art. Some will recall our dissapointment with the original art. As fate would have it, Sega seems to have taken feedback to heart and redone the covers, and we have to say they're some of the finest we've seen around.
Even more, the screenshots seem to show graphical improvements over previous ones. Sega noted the second delay was for "polish", one change there being lighting tweaks, and the results appear evident.
The trailer, meanwhile, should be more than sufficiently badass to whet your appetite until release. Featuring some great music and equally superb voice acting, it doesn't mess around.
