RAGE hasn't hit alpha, will release 2011

RAGE hasnt hit alpha, will release 2011

First revealed in 2007, id's FPS / racing game RAGE won't be out anytime soon. The company's creative director Tim Willits has stated "it would be horrible" to release the game in its present state as they "haven't even hit alpha." Got to commend the guy for his honesty.

“We’re working very hard and we’re getting close to that. But it’s important that we get this right. There’s nothing worse than pushing something out before it’s ready.”

Willits says it can be expected in 2011.

RAGE is over one terabyte in size, and had its publisher switched from Electronic Arts to Bethesda last year -- not points typically conducive to a smooth development process. Nevertheless, the new screens you see here are looking good, so let's hope id can shape this one up.
