Behaviour Interactive, formerly known as A2M, is looking to expand the WET and Naughty Bear IPs with a sequel for each. Both are pretty unexpected choices, given neither can be considered major successes within the industry. Still, the grindhouse-esque WET might hold some potential for a knock-out sequel; the original was dropped by Activision late in development and picked up last minute by Bethesda.
No word yet on publishers for either sequel, but Behaviour CEO Remi Racine is pretty confident in his studio:
"We were very happy with [Bethesda's] commitment. But, in their defense, we probably signed them too late. We should have signed them probably six months prior so we had more time to market the game. I think they came in late. Still, they did a very good job of promoting the game in the community. In the time that they had they did a very good job."
Racine notes that the $50 launch price for the first WET was Bethesda's idea, and he felt Naughty Bear was actually "more a $50 type of game." Can't say we don't agree with that last bit..
