Final Fantasy XIV large-scale updates detailed

Final Fantasy XIV large-scale updates detailed

Owing up to Final Fantasy XIV's rough start, Square Enix pledged to fix what ails the young MMORPG and they've got a list to show how exactly they'll go about things.

To put it simply, practically every single aspect of the game is getting adjusted and improved. Here's a small sample of what's on the way:

Guildleves will get tutorial missions for newcomers
Enemy targeting will be improved
User interface will be made easier to navigate
Less commands needed to start synthesis
Increasing retainer inventory capacity
Introduction of "Companies" (player-run guilds)

It's a really tiny sample of the huge list of changes on the way so definitely check out the source link for the full list.

The major changes will be rolled out first soon in November and December. Further additions and refinements will be introduced later in early 2011.
