EA announces new shooter with 'Greed Corp' developer Vanguard

EA announces new shooter with Greed Corp developer Vanguard

EA doesn't seem at all intimidated by this indie thing. In fact, they've partnered with the folks at Vanguard Entertainment -- started by Guerilla co-founders and W!Games -- to expand the Mistbound universe with Gatling Gears.

Described as a "dual-analogue shooter," Gears takes place in the same fictional world as Greed Corp, which we cough-cough absolutely loved and recommend. This time, the story is scaled down to revolve around a single individual, named Max Brawley, who needs to basically save an already crumbling world from total annihilation.

Gatling Gears is planned for digital release in Spring 2011, for XBLA, PSN, and PC.
