It's been a whopping four months since the last patch for Bad Company 2 on PC. Last we checked in, DICE was investigating the troublesome issue of trying to update the game without forcing players to re-download the last patch on top of the current one -- not fun for anybody, especially with the files approaching 1GB. After all this time, it appears they've come up with a way, and naturally have begun teasing a bit what's to come.
Update: the patch is arriving sooner than expected -- tomorrow. Besides improved hit reg, 3D Vision, and rez immunity fixes, there's a long-waited damage reduction to the Carl Gustav and a load of other balance improvements. See the full list of changes at the source. Note unfortunately the patch is still quite large -- 900MB.
At this stage, it's said the community is very pleased with the alterations and fixes.
Update: the patch is now live.
