With Modern Warfare 2 being dinged for not having mod support or dedicated servers, Treyarch sought to make good with Call of Duty: Black Ops by putting dedicated servers back in for the PC version. Now Treyarch has also confirmed mod tools will be made available to the players.
It's not known how much of the game will be modified as Treyarch says there are issues with the game engine and internal tool not sitting well with the modding tools. As for when you can get your hands on the mod tools, you'll have to wait sometime after launch as the devs are busy finishing up Black Ops for release.
Those of you who missed messing with the game's finer settings will be happy to know the dev console will also be available -- server operators will once again be able to change the gravity to throw everyone off.
