Queues for the launch of Wrath of the Lich King were quite impressive. Our local midnight launch store, Puolenkuun Pelit (Espoo), had a queue of over 100 people - and we got some pictures.
Blizzard actually surprised everyone by jumping the gun with the servers. It appears that the EU servers actually allowed those with early copies to start in Northrend as early as 22:00 CET - much to the disappointment of many who got their copies at midnight here in Finland. They expected to have a hour to get home and install the game before opening, but found out some were already out there before leaving for the store.
Anyway, I'm not off to get some levels...
Update: Level 71, after about 4.5 hours of solid questing! Everything has worked smoothly for me and the only troubles I've heard of have been about Zeppelins tending to unload their passengers at Stonetalon Mountains.
