The original Sims was a break-out smash-hit, and the second Sims offered more expansion packs than any other game in the history games. What will The Sims 3 break?
A developer's walkthrough video was released today, showing some of the upcoming changes made in the game. The Sims 3 seems to be shaping up quite nicely.
In The Sims 3, your character is not limited to his home. You have a much larger neighbourhood that you'll be able to go out into, and check out. There also seems to be greater customization options when it comes to designing your alter-ego: you'll be able to pick life goals, and tweak their personality quirks to your heart's content.
The Sims 3 comes out for the PC on Feburary 20th.
Although Will Wright wasn't behind this one, I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that The Sims 3 will far out sell Spore. Okay -- so maybe that wasn't much of a prediction, seeing how Sims 2 is one of the most popular PC games of all time and has had expansion packs consistently been on the best-sellers list since release.Incredibly, The Sims series has so far sold more than 100 million copies worldwide.
