Word on the street is that Far Cry 2 is going to be a DirectX 10.1 game. ATI is supposed to release a hotfix driver soon that specifically includes driver updates for the game. This might mean obvious performance benefits for those with ATI cards.
Far Cry 2 is scheduled for 21th of October in the US and 24th of October in the EU. US players can also order it using Steam while the EU side of Ubisoft still fails at supporting Steam and clings to the old box-in-game-store publishing style.
