Fallout 3 Gold - System Requirements Revealed

Fallout 3 has gone Gold, and Beteshda has published a FAQ for the game. Included are the official system requirements for Fallout 3.

Minimum System Requirements:

Windows XP/Vista1GB System RAM (XP)/ 2GB System RAM (Vista)2.4 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processorDirect X 9.0c compliant video card with 256MB RAM (NVIDIA 6800 or better/ATI X850 or better)

Recommended System Requirements:

Intel Core 2 Duo processor2 GB System RAMDirect X 9.0c compliant video card with 512MB RAM (NVIDIA 8800 series, ATI 3800 series)

That's some serious video hardware as recommended, but on the other hand it seems you can run it on fairly low end hardware as well - it remains to be seen how much you'll have to compromise with the visuals. Unsure if your system is able to cope? You can figure that out using our Game-o-Meter.

Release date of Fallout 3 for PC, Xbox 360, and PLAYSTATION 3 in North America is October 28th, 2008 and in Europe October 31st, 2008. Japan gets it on December 4th, 2008.
