Hot off the presses, Valve Software has announced that they're working on the first DLC pack for their recently-released zombie shooter, Left 4 Dead 2. Due out in Spring 2010, "The Passing" will feature a new campaign set in rural Georgia, where you'll meet up with the survivors from the original Left 4 Dead. In addition to the new campaign, we can expect new "arenas" for Survival, Versus and Scavenge mode, along with a new co-operative challenge mode, new "uncommon common" zombies, melee weapons and firearms. Here's a little snippet from the press release:
"The Passing will become the most important campaign in the Left 4 Dead story, as all the Survivors are being called together in one campaign," said Doug Lombardi, VP of marketing at Valve. "It will also be a huge offering of new gameplay content, with something new for every game mode plus a new uncommon common and weaponry."
Pricing will be revealed closer to the DLC's launch.
