Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II restoration mod released

Knights of the Old Republic II restoration mod released

Any Old Republic fan knows that The Sith Lords was the franchise's biggest disappointment -- not because the game was bad, but rather that incomplete vibe. No one blames Obsidian, given that they had a year to produce something amazing.

Truly, we were presented with the potential for something great, but by the end of KotOR II, we realized this was a lost opportunity. Or was it?

Since the Old Republic community realized the issue, numerous restoration projects have popped up across the net, some better than others. Team Gizka, if you're not familiar with the name, has been at this since 2005 and recently released a new update this April.

Now, a duo known as "Zbyl2" and "DarthStoney" have released their Restored Content project in an open beta session, after much blood and sweat. There are meticulous instructions on the Deadly Forums, so you might want to check those out before downloading.

Like Gizka, it's an ongoing project, but the current mod promises to restore most of the missing content.
