Sci-fi RTS games always need some "pew pew pew" factor. The more the better! Anyway, we've got some new Command & Conquer 4 screenshots to show you because we love our readers more than you guys love us.

They feature a relatively new environment and highlight the GDI and Nod forces -- Global Defense Initiative and Brotherhood of Nod, for those who are not aware. The two sides exchanging laser beams in the ever-scenic Junktown, and with a name like that, who wouldn't want to visit?

As previously reported, Command & Conquer 4 will undergo a few changes similar to what Relic did with Dawn of War II. Some traditional RTS elements will be dropped in favor of cross-genre gameplay, making Tiberian Twilight a potentially "big risk" for EA. As for story, the announcement trailer showed some very serious people (including Kane) sitting down to talk, and a very, very serious narrator hinted there would be a forced alliance. Argh, teamwork!
