DC Universe Online is only just entering its alpha stages at present (as was touched on by the developers at E3), and Sony are teasing fans with more super-hero action. Though not as high-profile as the Dark Knight, Superman or Doomsday coverage, this recent influx of images is likely to appease many comic book devotees.
For those who know little about the game, it's an MMO Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) have pinned up for release next summer. The game will allow you to create your own hero or villain and become a legend in the DC Universe, fighting alongside your favourite characters. The gameplay will be action-based, replacing the typical click-n-wait-combat conventions of many MMOs. Important to note is the title will have no subscription fees, which could sway the minds of Playstation 3 owners into purchasing their first console MMO.
Readers who look at the images a little closer will also be able to pick out a few new arrivals to the DCUO cast; Black Canary and Zatanna have both prowled onto the scene, along with some new thug and agent NPCS.
