Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight video reveals the Crawler

Tiberian Twilight video reveals the Crawler

EA released a video today, showing off a pivotal unit in the final (supposedly) chapter of the Command & Conquer series. This follows a release of screenshots yesterday, where we had a look at "Junktown."

The featured unit is the called the crawler. In a controversial move, the series now relies on these mobile super-tank-base hybrid things to keep you in the game. You'll be able to add weapons from the crawler, move it around, and build all of your weapons and tech from it.

One interesting gameplay feature that gets mentioned in the video is that in MP games, you get to respawn. Which seems odd for an RTS game, but I suppose we'll await some hands-on time with it before passing judgment.

Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight is being made by EA Los Angeles. It'll feature those cheesy FMV clips that you know and love, and is targeted for an indefinite release to the PC sometime in 2010.
