Zeno Clash goes retail, gold

Zeno Clash goes retail, gold

We heard word of it one month ago, and now it's a little closer to reality -- ACE Team's brawler Zeno Clash is set for retail release in the UK, Scandinavia, and the Benelux next month, with more of Europe to follow "soon after."

No word on a North American release -- last we checked in about it with the developer in March, they'd said, "We're still discussing with interested parties to bring Zeno Clash to retail in other territories, but it's too early to say where." If we hear any update, we'll be sure to let you know, but in the meantime, consider your favourite import shop.

A couple of bonuses are in store for those intent on acquiring this version: all available updates for the game, and a lovely Zeno Clash comic (shown below). Sadly the SDK won't be included on the disc, but no biggie.

It's unclear if any DRM (including Steam) will be inherent to the disc copy, but judging by the company's reaction to pirates, we're guessing not. Update: Unfortunately, our contact at publisher Iceberg Interactive says, "The retail version of the game will only require online activation via Steam."

Anyhow, if first person fighters with a primal and surreal twist or two sounds like your thing, and you just need the box (Neoseeker understands), keep an eye out next month.
