Divinity II: Ego Draconis confirmed for North American release

Ego Draconis confirmed for North American release

Released in 2002 on PC, Larian Studios' Divine Divinity was regarded by many gamers as a classic RPG that could hold its own with the likes of Arx Fatalis, Elder Scrolls and Gothic. The team followed it up two years later with a spiritual sequel Beyond Divinity; this one was not quite as well received but is still a token entry nonetheless. This year will bring us the third game in the series, titled Divinity II: Ego Draconis, and will mark the first foray into the console realm, with it releasing on Xbox 360 as well as PC (and with a lovely looking Collector's Edition, too).

Larian is a European company, and while it was presumed the new title would be brought over to our side of the pond, a confirmation is always good, and that's what we get today, complete with a second trailer and a batch of screenshots.

Publisher dtp Entertainment assures a "varied and demanding" quest structure, and as shown above, some Panzer Dragoon influence perhaps with your eventual evolution into a dragon.

RPGs like this can be hard to come by these days, so if it's your thing, keep a lookout: we've been told to expect it this holiday season.
