Kicking things off today, THQ has announced that both Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and Red Faction: Armageddon have been delayed a few months to allow for some extra polish and to launch in a better window. Word is that War 40k: Space Marine has been pushed from "early 2011" to the Summer 2011 and Red Faction: Armageddon is slipping from March to May 2011. THQ's Brian Farrell offered the following comments on the delays:
THQ President and CEO Brian Farrell said, "THQ's creative organization is delivering a strong pipeline of core game franchises scheduled for release over the next several years, positioning THQ for significant net sales, earnings and cash flow growth. We continue to execute on our plan to deliver great games, market them aggressively and release them in the most advantageous windows."
