Amnesia: The Dark Descent PC, Mac, Linux demo released

The Dark Descent PC, Mac, Linux demo released

We're currently in the middle of our Amnesia: The Dark Descent review, and have to say the interactive horror experience / game is even more polished and intense than what we saw in our preview, which was already very impressive.

If you're still not quite sure, a demo has been released for you to test the waters with, and not just for PC gamers, but Mac and Linux gamers as well. Grab it via the source ahead of the game's September 8 launch, and check out the recommended specs below if you're worried or just curious.

Windows XP/Vista/7, OS X 10.5.8/10.6.4 or Linux distribution released in 2010.NVIDIA GeForce 6 / ATI Radeon HD.2.0 Ghz CPU.1 - 2 GB RAM (depends on OS).500mb of free disk space.

While we've got you here, the Penumbra series (to which Amnesia is the spiritual successor) is currently 70% off on the official store and GamersGate -- you can grab the whole collection for under ten bucks if you like, or each title for even less.

We should have our Amnesia review up over the weekend, so keep a lookout.
