“The growing Magic: The Gathering community has an insatiable desire for great strategic game experiences. Sony Online Entertainment is the perfect partner to transform the best of Magic’s story, strategy and competitive play into a fantastic ‘Tactics’ game experience for current and new Magic fans,” Greg Leeds, president of Wizards of the Coast, was quoted as saying.
In both single player and PVP game modes, players will be to draw from a virtual deck of spell cards that'll be used to wage wizard war against their opponents. Regular content expansions (i.e new decks), an achievements and ranking system, and the ability to participate in tournaments is planned for the game.
