Torchlight SDK released to mod community

Torchlight SDK released to mod community

The modding community has been waiting for the Torchlight editor patiently since its launch two weeks ago, and as of this evening, it is here.

Torchlight, if you've not yet been acquainted, is an action RPG from the developers of the Diablo and Fate series, and is priced at a measly 20 bucks (if you're curious as to how it plays, try our review). As such, we expect a heap of neat content to be built by the community in the years to come. Personally, we're hoping for some shader mods in the mix, kind of like you see in the image above (that one was created by a fan).

As for the editor itself (dubbed "TorchEd"), if you haven't caught it yet, below is the three-part "walkthrough", showing off its capabilities and giving you an idea of how to go about your business.

Grab the editor at FileFront, and visit the Runic Games forums (both linked below) for support, or just to chat.
