Getting the ball rollin' today, THQ and Relic Entertainment have announced that their highly anticipated RTS, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II, has officially gone gold and will begin shipping to stores across North America on February 19th. Here's the official word:

Set in the grim, war-ravaged world of Games Workshop's (LSE: GAW) Warhammer 40,000 science fiction universe, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II delivers visceral combat, stunning visu 2246 als, and destructible environments throughout a non-linear single-player experience as well as a fully cooperative multiplayer campaign via Microsoft's free Games for Windows(R) - LIVE service.
