MMORPG publisher Uforia Inc. has announced today that the ongoing firesale event on UFOs, celebrating the launch of Nostale: Global, will be extended until next Monday, January 26. The promotion gives players major discounts on in-game currency from Uforia's Item Mall.
While Nostale is free to play, the firesale event offers players a chance to maximise their characters. The more you spend, the greater the reward, basically. For example, during the event someone can spend $9 can get $10 worth of UFOs, resulting in a 11 percent discount. By spending $25, players are given $30 worth, and $50 spent will yield $75 worth of UFOs -- a 50 percent bonus.
"Due to the great response we have received on our launch, we have decided to extend the firesale event through this week to ensure our whole community gets a chance to take part, said Mike Min, Game Operations Producer of Nostale: Global. "And, as another thank you to our new community, we also thought it would be a great time to add a scavenger hunt for the chance to win prizes, have fun and explore the world of Nostale."
Additionally, Uforia included an announcement for a scavenger hunt event that begins tomorrow, January 20, at 4:00 pm PST. The hunt will take place at Noscamp, where a GM will meet players at the Time Circle and offer a clue pertaining to the object they must find. Players can then bring five of those items to the GM within 10 minutes for 10,000 UFOs.
Now if only every MMO would hold a special "Giving Away In-Game Money" event...
