Spreading the good news today, Battlefront.com and 1C Company have officially announced the development of Theatre of War 2: North Africa 1943, a sequel to last year's hit World War 2-based RTS. Due out in Q4 2008, ToW2 will feature 15 missions over three campaigns, over 50 different vehicles, 30 new unique buildings, improved AI, and a whole lot more! Here's a little snippet from the press release:
"When 1C approached us with their plans for a sequel, we knew that - just like with the first title that was successfully released by Battlefront.com - it would be a perfect fit for Battlefront’s lineup of Superior War and Strategy Games", said Martin van Balkom, President of Battlefront.com. "1C’s dedication and love for even small details was apparent in the first game already, and the sequel is even more ambitious. We’re thrilled to be part of the ride and bring this game to our fans worldwide, via download as well as to stores."
