Far Cry 2 specs make official debut

Far Cry 2 specs make official debut

Far Cry 2 has made some interesting appearances over the past few months, showing off new teasers of burning vegitation and weather / time systems for passing day and night and rain or just extreme heat. Much of this leaving people to wonder how power hungry the Dunia engine would be exactly.

Today Ubisoft breaks out their official specs for the game and I have to say I'm really impressed about how many generations back it actually leaps.

The specs seem to show how versatile Dunia is for performance when pitted against the Crysis engine, although it really does puzzle the mind that the X1900 is in the recommended slot against a midrange 8 series. I'd have to wonder what exactly they're doing to optimize the engine so far that those recommended spec cards are all you need.

The game seems to be shaping up well though and if no upgrades are needed around the board for people to enjoy the game then it's quite an accomplishment on their part, the only thing that seems to be somewhat demanding is the CPU area with the 5200+ X2 as their suggested processor (2.6GHz core)
