Sony Online Entertainment, PSN accounts compromised in mass access attempts

Sony Online Entertainment, PSN accounts compromised in mass access attempts

Sony reported that a series of unauthorized account access attempts recently took place on Sony Entertainment Network, PlayStation Network, and Sony Online Entertainment services. 93,000 global accounts have been locked down as a preventative measure. PSN and SEN users affected by the lockdown will be sent an e-mail prompting them to reset their account password. SOE users must validate their credentials in order to have their accounts turned back on. Sony assures that any credit card information linked to the compromised accounts is not at risk.
