FileFront independent again, not going anywhere

FileFront independent again, not going anywhere

Popular PC game data host FileFront, which has provided gamers with demos, patches, and tons more good stuff for 12 years, was to undergo suspension by its owner Ziff Davis Media last week, following the corporation's move last year to sell the 1UP Network to UGO and lay EGM magazine to rest. Thankfully, the original owners of FileFront have decided to buy back the site rights, and so now it's self-owned again -- one of the only sites of its kind left, we dare say.

The guys and gals at FileFront are happy to be back and "thank Ziff Davis Media for their cooperation and willingness to keep the site and community alive." They also look forward to improving the site and serving gamers like us for years to come.

Unlike most sites of this sort, FileFront does not require registration nor does it cap download speeds. Congratulations to the team for being able to stay in the game!
