Three new screenshots were released today from Bethesda's upcoming Fallout 3 game.
The first shot shows a wasteland roamer sitting at a bar being served by a mutant; the second shows a Vault-hero firing a shotgun; the third shows the list of skills in the game.
The game is certainly looking quite nice, in this gamer's opinion. Of course no one who has played Fallout 1&2 and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion really expects there to be as three quarters as much of an RPG as was in the original games, but nonetheless, Fallout 3 is looking like it'll be a fun game.
As for the skill section, it looks like we now have 9 skills in Fallout -- which is half of the amount of skills in Fallout 2 (but to be fair, a few of the skills from the earlier game weren't that useful.) Personally, I'm going to miss Traps and Steal the most -- which reminds me of one fun thing you could do in Fallout 2 if you had a high rating in both: you could sneak sticks of dynamite into peoples' pockets, and then run away a safe distance, to watch them explode. Good times.
Well, Fallout 3's graphics are looking great anyways.
Fallout 3 is due out in the last quarter of this year, for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
Update: There are actually 13 skills in the game. Missing from the screenshot's list of skills is: Big guns, Energy weapons, Explosives, and Barter.
