Today is the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the Moon and to mark the occasion Futuremark Games Studio has published two new screenshots from their zero gravity multiplayer shooter Shattered Horizon. The new pictures showcase one of the play areas and nicely demonstrate the aim for realistic look and feel - plenty of detail and all shades of gray in use, as you'd expect from bits and pieces of the Moon.
The accompanying press release dates the events portrayed in the game to 2049 - forty years into the future. No word yet on the exact start date of the planned beta test. The sign-up button is still up so you can still register, but the start of the beta shouldn't be too far off.
