The PC Gaming Alliance (PCGA)'s mission is self-described as "[promoting] the PC Gaming Industry and [becoming] the authoritative voice of PC Gaming world-wide". It's good news then, they've just signed eight new allies, including retail giant GameStop, which should help things out quite a lot.
Aside from them, BFG Technologies (hardware), Bigfoot Networks (networks), Flextronics (electronic manufacturing), GameTap (digital distribution), Gas Powered Games (Demigod), Howie’s Game Shack (retail) and InstantAction (browser games) are among the fold.
GameStop in particular probably provides the biggest potential for a boost to the PC gaming world, as they are, well, everywhere, but aren't showing much love to it at the moment. Having recently appointed a head of digital distribution, however, between these two moves, it appears they're changing things largely for the better.
